Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 4, 2026
1. Who we are
SynapseShip ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website and services at synapseship.com (the "Service"). This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our Service to purchase shipping labels, manage shipments, and related features.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), and profile details you provide.
- Shipping and transaction data: names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses used for labels, package dimensions, carrier selections, payment references, tracking numbers, and shipment status as required to fulfill orders and comply with carrier rules.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; Stripe handles card data according to its own policies.
- Support and communications: messages you send through our contact form or email, including optional order references.
- Technical data: standard logs and diagnostics (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited) as needed to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide shipping quotes, purchase labels, and display tracking
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Maintain your account, address book, and shipment history
- Send transactional emails (receipts, label links, delivery updates where enabled)
- Respond to support requests
- Improve reliability, security, and the user experience
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Service providers
We share data with vendors that help us run the Service, including hosting, database and authentication (e.g. Supabase), payments (Stripe), shipping APIs (Shippo), email delivery (e.g. Resend), and maps/autocomplete where you enable those features. These providers process data under agreements that limit use to providing services to us.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Some carrier-related records may be retained as required by law or industry practice.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at our contact page to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
