1. Agreement
By accessing or using SynapseShip's website and services ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
SynapseShip provides tools to compare rates, purchase domestic shipping labels through integrated carriers (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx via our shipping partner), pay electronically, and track shipments. Actual carriage is performed by third-party carriers, not by SynapseShip. Delivery times and service levels depend on the carrier and service you select.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information for addresses, contact details, and payments. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may use guest checkout where offered; some features require an account.
4. Prohibited use
You agree not to use the Service to ship illegal items, hazardous materials without proper authorization, or items prohibited by carriers or law. You are responsible for compliance with carrier rules, packaging requirements, and applicable regulations. Misuse may result in suspension and liability.
5. Fees and payment
Label prices are displayed before you pay. Charges are processed by our payment provider. You authorize us and our providers to charge your selected payment method for purchases you confirm. Taxes may apply where required.
6. Labels, refunds, and voids
Labels are subject to carrier acceptance and validation. Refund and void eligibility follow carrier and platform rules (for example, labels that have been used or scanned may not be refundable; time limits may apply). Our Help section describes typical refund expectations. Nothing in these terms overrides stricter carrier requirements.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OR THAT TRACKING DATA WILL ALWAYS BE COMPLETE OR REAL-TIME.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNAPSESHIP AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC TRANSACTION AT ISSUE IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SynapseShip and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your shipments, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
10. Changes
We may modify these Terms or the Service. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a different governing law is required by your jurisdiction of residence.
